I’ve already mentioned my love for the traditional Transylvanian villages, houses and big gates. Here are some of those typical Saxon-style houses. Hope you enjoy!

The roof lines of these houses are quite unique, and all are beautiful! You do indeed have a different perspective of Romania and are enjoying the rediscovery. I have never visited your part of the world and will learn a lot by reading your blog!
Thanks a lot for liking and following mine.

Lexi’s mom here. Just looking at the houses, Crit appears to be more prosperous than Viscri. I would love to see the interiors. I also noticed lots of crosses and cross cut-outs on the houses. Vampire protection, LOL?
Thanks for visiting our blog, glad it led me to yours!

Interesting observation. I woudn’t have said Crit is more prosperous, but I’m not sure. Viscri is more well-known now, thanks to publicity made by Prince Charles. The interiors are interesting also. Will have to take pictures next time I get the chance 🙂 Thanks for visiting, Lexi’s mom.

I have pictures of my father in Romania and Hungary when he was 15 years old. Some with local Gypsys and some with family. I must visit someday —and soon. Thanks for posting and following my blog.

Hello & thanks for subscribing to my blog. Also, nice posts you have here. Just wanted to tell you this, and since you do not have a contact e-mail in the About section (as far as I was able too see). One last thought. Starting summer 2016, there are many projects here in Oradea that will be completed, significantly changing – in good – the face of the city and the infrastructure. So, maybe we will be able to also read an Oradea focused article this year? 😉 :). Thanks and God bless!

Hi! Thanks for your visit and comments. Unfortunately, I haven’t been to Oradea yet but I’m hoping to visit soon. I’ve heard good things about the city and these projects you mention sound great. Thanks and good luck!
